Mixture is a combination of two or more substance that are not chemically bonded or joined. Mixture can be homogeneous and can be heterogeneous. Homogeneous have only one phase as we try to look at it while heterogeneous have more than one phase can be seen. The component of a mixture doesnt have a fixed proportion unlike compound. The component of a mixture can also be separated by physical means, like for example sand in water. Sand can be separated from water by filtration, decantation, and evaporation.
